As puppy raisers, our job is to raise puppies to their fullest potential and to be guide dog canidates. Not all puppies are ultimately selected to be working guide dogs (due to either physical or training issues), but all play an important role in the mission of Guide Dogs for the Blind.
These puppies are not considered failures, as they are anything but that! They are called career changed dogs because they go on to many other careers including therapy, search and rescue, diabetic detection, law enforcement, and family pets.

Drew
Drew is a male, black labrador born on September 1, 2014 to dog mom Maeve and dog dad Mitzvah. He is being raised by Kirsten and family.
Zabar
Zabar is a beautiful golden retriever puppy and labrador cross. She's the daughter of Athena, who was also raised by Cathy and Carolanne in our Boulder Club. Her dog daddy is Amici. She was born on October 2, 2014. Her half-siblings in the club are Valiant and Versailles.
Nick
Nick is a male golden retriever. He was born on September 11, 2014 to dog dad Amici and dog dad Leigh. Nick is being raised by JulieMarie and Michael. Nick was career changed and lives with his puppy raiser.
Branson
Branson is a male black labrador born on August 25, 2014 to dog mom Catina and dog dad Mack. Branson is being raised by Erin and Matt. Branson was career changed.
Spice
Spice is a female golden retriever born in November 2009 to dog mom Crystal and dog dad O'Ryan. She was raised by Cathy and Carolanne. She now lives in Boulder and works as a therapy dog at the local hospitals.

Inara is a female yellow labrador who was born on 7-11-13 to dog mom Favor and dog dad Vern. She is being raised by Chris M.
Katrina
Katrina joined the club on Friday, September 12, 2014. She was born on July 15, 2014 to dog mom Jova and dog dad Laughlin. This female, yellow labrador is being raised by John, Sarah, and Christine.
Sherbet
Sherbet (pronounced Sher Bay) is a female golden retriever. She was born on April 10, 2013 to dog dad Tom and dog mom Monet. She is being raised by Leah & family and Kirsten & family.
Casper
Casper was born on June 28, 2014 to dog dad Medford and dog mom Pebbles. He is 3/4 golden retriever and 1/4 labrador. He joined the club on August 25, 2014 and is being raised by Anna, Quinn, and Gwen.
Casper was career changed and now enjoys fetching.
Presley
Presley is a male golden retriever. He was born on June 2, 2014 to dog mom Fresca and dog dad Ralph. Presley is being raised by Sharon, David, Calli, and Tucker.
Siri
Siri is a female yellow labrador born on April 13, 2014 to dog mom Wanda and dog dad Mack. She is the littermate of Scone, also being raised in the club. Siri is being raised by Marni and Devon.
Molokai
Molokai is a male, black labrador being raised by Sara and Tom. Molokai is littermates with Megan and Marble, also being raised in the club. Molokai's dog dad is Toby, and his dog mon is Flicker, who was also raised in our club. Molokai was born on January 30, 2014.
Olema
Olema is being raised by Samantha and Janice. She's a golden and is the littermate of Odin. She is also half-sibling with Valiant and Versailles. Olema was born on February 6, 2014 to dog mom Tarragon and dog dad Partner.
Olema is being co-raised with Samantha and Janice and another family in a different club.
Olema was career changed in May 2015.
Versailles
Versailles is the daughter of Athena and Partner. Athena was raised in our Boulder club. Versailles is the sister of Valiant, also being raised in the Boulder club. Versailles was born on December 11, 2013 and is being raised by Gwen, Anna, Quinn, Matt, Sharyl, Zoe, and Anya (two different families.)
Pearson
Pearson was born on September 9, 2013 to dog mom Suzanne and dog dad William. Pearson is being raised by Diane and he's a male, yellow lab. Pearson was career-changed. He was the second Pearson in the club.
Anton
Anton is a male yellow labrador born on July 30, 2013 to dog mom Vaya and dog dad William. Anton was raised by Jess.
Delight
Delight is a female golden retriever co-raised by Susan and Richard and Kyra. She was born on 8/5/2013 to dog mom Fresca and dog dad Magellan. Delight's littermate, Desley, is also in the Boulder club.
Cartier
Cartier is a female golden retriever. Her dog dad is Amici and her dog mom is Amaya. She was born on June 23, 2013 and received into the club in August 2013. She is being raised by Cathy, Shirl, Kelsey, and Sarah.
Sonoma
Sonoma is a female, yellow labrador. She was born on June 8, 2013 to dog dad Jenkins and dog mom Azul. She is being raised by Sarah, John, and Christine.
Danby
Danby is a male, yellow labrador. He is the puppy son of dog dad Jolt and mom Flicker. Flicker was raised in the Boulder club by Heidi.

Danube
Danube is a female golden retriever. She was born on March 14, 2013 to dog mom Amici and dog dad Garcelle. She is being raised by Samantha and Janice.
Galaxy
Galaxy is a black, female labrador being raised by Gwen and Anna. Galaxy was born on November 21, 2012 to dog dad Baldwin and dog mom Inez. Galaxy is a littermate of Gizmo, also in the Boulder Club.
Galaxy decided guide work was too stressful and moved to San Diego to live with her new human in July 2014.
Gustavo
Gustavo is a yellow lab/golden retriever mix. He was born on January 13, 2013 and is being raised by Trudy and John. Gustavo joined the club on March 20, 2013. Gustavo\'s dog dad is Picasso and his dog mom is Toffee.
Dustin
Dustin is a yellow labrador who joined the club on October 13, 2012. Dustin is being raised by Kelsey and Pauline. He was born on August 9, 2012 to dog dad Jay and dog mom Arcadia.
Destiny
Destiny is a female, yellow labrador. She is the puppy daughterof dog dad Jolt and mom Flicker. Flicker was raised in the Boulder club by Heidi.
Destiny was born on January 8, 2013. She is being raised by Heidi.
Fanta
Fanta is a female, yellow labrador. She's being raised by Grace. Fanta was born on April 29, 2012 to dog dad Shane and dog mom Lacey.
Fanta is a very calm pup who lets people snuggle her for long periods of time.
She lives with her puppy raisers again.
Nalani
Nalani joined the club on Tuesday, November 13, 2012. She looks like a black labrador, but she is a cross between a female black labrador and a golden retriever.
Her dog mom is Jingle and her dog dad is Denzel. Nalani was born on September 13, 2012.
Caprice
Caprice was a transfer pup. She was raised by Lauren. Caprice was born on March 3, 2012 to dog mom Rupee and dog dad Shane.
Cashmere
Cashmere is a female yellow lab born 6.23.12 to dog dad Jay and dog mom Josie. She is being raised by Anna and Trevor.
Anna said, "She has been a sweetie so far. She was the only puppy coming off the truck that did not look drugged and was barking and ready to play with all the other pups. She\'s sure to add a little more spice to our club meetings!"
Primrose
Primrose came on the puppy truck on November 11, 2011. She is being raised by Richard and Kyra. Primrose is a golden retriever puppy. She was born on 9/7/2011 to dog mom Jingle and dog dad Franklin. Primrose's recall date is 11/19/2012.
Edmond
Edmond joined the group on Friday, June 10, 2011. His birthday is April 15, 2011. His dog parents are Nevin and Basia.
Edmond was career changed in August 2012. He retruned to his puppy raising family.
Edmond is a male yellow lab being raised by Maisie, Grace, Sue, and Harlan as their first puppy!
Cypress
Cypress came off the puppy truck on November 11, 2011. She was born on 8/22/2011. Her dog parents are daddy Stockholm & mommy Starling.
Gene and Jane are co-raising Cypress with Jillian. Cypress was career changed and she is living with her puppy raisers.
Guide Dogs for the Blind posted a video of Starling's litter of C puppies. Cypress is a littermate of Cordova's.
Phineas
Phineas is a handsome yellow labrador. He was born on June 18, 2011 to dog mom Chenille and dog dad David. He is being raised by JulieMarie, lucky, and Michael.
Phineas was career changed on October 2012.
Penda
Penda is a female yellow labrador. She came into the club on October 14, 2011. Her date of birth is August 5, 2011. Her dog mom is Racine and her dog dad is Jay. Penda is being raised by Sharyl, Matt, Zoe, and Anya.
Kaelyn
Baby Kaelyn is a female, black labrador. She came off the puppy truck on November 11, 2011. Kaelyn was born on 8/22/2011 to dog mom Trella and dog dad Pike.
She is being raised by Dori and Ellie.
Patrice
Patrice's dog mom is Dream and her dog dad is Denzel.
She is a female black labrador born on August 26, 2010. She is being raised by Kyra and Richard. Patrice graduated as a working guide on April 21, 2012.
Razzle
Razzle is a female black labrador born to dog mom Melody and dog dad Simon on May 14, 2010. Razzle was co-raised by JulieMarie, Lucky, and Sarah.
Leticia
Leticia is a female black labrador born to dod mom Labelle and dog dad Cubby on August 2, 2008. Leticia was raised by Alexis and family.
Dynamo
Dynamo was a male yellow labrador born on May 9, 2008 to mom Debra and dog dad Eric. He was raised by Jess and Mike. Sadly, Dynamo sadly passed away in February 2010 after a short but brave fight with cancer.
Solo
Solo is a male yellow labrador born 4/27/09 to dog mom is Courtney and dog dad is Astro.
He was started by raisers in Utah and finished in our club by Carol. He is now living as a very loved pet with Carol!
Gilly
Gilly is a female yellow labrador born on April 25, 2008 to dog mom Janelle and dog dad Damon. Gilly was raised by Sheila and family.
Humphrey
Humphrey is a male yellow labrador born on April 28, 2007 to dog mom Fashion and dog dad Kinsey. Humphrey was co-raised by Claire W. and Lauren.
Rufus
Rufus is a male, yellow labrador born on June 30, 2007 to dog mom Kalina and dog dad Durango. Rufus was co-raised by Amber, Alex, and famlies.
Frisbee
Frisbee is a male yellow labrador born to dog mom Audrey and dog dad Denzel on 7/21/09.
Frisbee was co-raised by Pat, Ed, and Emily and was adopted by Pat and Ed after being career changed. Frisbee trained to be a therapy dog and an assistant to his adoptive mom who is an orientation and mobility instructor for visually impaired children and adults. He passed his delta certification. His new mom said, "Frisbee nailed it, played to the jury, was beloved by all, took it all in stride, made awesome marks...and carried me through it. They said I could use a little work, but he was a star!" He was rewarded with a PawBender from Good Times.
Montegro
Montego is a female yellow labrador born on May 3, 2008 to dog mom Mabel and dog dad Damon. Montego was raised by Lucy, Jake, and family.
Ashanti
Ashanti is a female yellow labrador born on June 25, 2007 to dog mom Rasberry and dog dad Benjamin. Ashanti was co-raised by Tara, Heidi, and families.
Gatsby
Gatsby, a black labrador, was born on February 12, 2007 to dog mom Kona and dog dad Durango. Gatsby was raised by Cathy and Carolanne.
Wella
Wella is a female black labrador born to dog mom Harbor and dog dad Astro on 5/2/09.

Meyer
Meyer, a male yellow labrador, was born on August 7, 2006 to dog mom Alda and dog dad Neo. He was raised by Angela and Zach and is now living with Angela and Zach in Colorado.
Matador
Matador is a male black labrador born to dog mom Tinella and dog dad Bosworth on 8/25/08.
Matador was co-raised by Joel and Margaret and is now living as a pet with Joel.
Breanne
Breanne, a female yellow labrador, was raised by Alex, Jen, and Susan. She lives with Alex and Jen in Colorado.
Bosley
Bosley is a male, black labrador. he was born on July 3, 2006 to dog mom Danuba and dog dad Bruce. Bosley was co-raised by Alex, Amber, and families.
Angel-Gelly
Angel is a female yellow lab born 4/24/07 to Lilith and Eric.
Angel was raised by Emily and was adopted by Emily after being released from the program. She is best friends with retired guide Ellis, also adopted by Emily.
Hakuna
Hakuna, a female yellow labrador, was raised by Heidi and family. She now lives with Elizabeth. Check out Elizabeth's book website.
Ilona
Ilona, a female yellow labrador, was co-raised by Emily and Brynn. She lives in California with friends.
Larissa
Larissa, a female yellow labrador, was raised by Heidi and family and lived with Heidi and family.
Donette
Donette, a female yellow labrador, was raised by Frances, Lucia, and family. She is living with her puppy raisers.
Reel
Reel is a male, yellow labrador (who was almost red), raised by Kim.
This is a picture of Reel at the gym. He was being babysat and he decided to stand on the treadmill next to the babysitter holding his leash.
Rasberry
Rasberry, a female yellow labrador, was raised by Heidi and family. Rasberry was career changed due to an issue with her eye.
Martin
Martin (the first Martin in the club) was raised by Gwen. He was a male, yellow labrador. He was career changed for growling at the vet when his temperature was taken. Martin went on to live with a construction worker and a receptionist. Almost all days, he got to go to work with one of his humans, but he preferred construction work.
Darrell
Darrell was born April 6, 1996 to dog Dad Magnum and dog Mom Scarlet. Pat and I raised Darrell and he actually graduated from the Guide Dog School training program. We were making preparations to attend his graduation and then we received the call…he was career changed as 'too sensitive'.
Wynette
Wynette is a female yellow labrador born on August 27, 2007 to dog mom Esther and dog dad Kentucky. Wynette was co-raised by Jill, Kirsten, Angela S., and families.
